Cannabidiol and Other Anti

For this reason, CBD and THC are often grouped together, even though they’re clearly not similar. In order to distinguish between the two, researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill performed a comparative study between CBD and THC using two different methods. One method compared the effects of CBD with those of smoked marijuana; the other tested CBD and half of the active ingredients of fern valley farms CBD Hops extract. The researchers found that CBD and THC did not share equal affects on lab rats. While both substances produced similar effects on the animals, CBD demonstrated significantly more potent effects.

Inflammatory Cures

There’s a rapidly increasing segment of CBD consumers who simply prefer smoking or favoring CBD hemp flower, either the dried or raw buds of the cannabis plant. Interestingly, many believe that the two are distinctly different. They base this distinction on the fact that CBD has been shown to effectively reduce the symptoms of motion sickness and nausea in laboratory studies, whereas marijuana is regularly smoked by consumers. However, CBD and THC, the chemical component of marijuana that produces the ‘high,’ have very little in common. At most, they have similarity in their ability to affect the brain.

These results demonstrate that CBD and THC do not share equal therapeutic properties. In addition to being a highly effective anti-inflammatory, CBD is also known to protect the body from cell damage, particularly in diseases such as cancer and HIV/AIDS. This is why many people have begun to use CBD and hemp flowers for relief of ailments related to these diseases. Currently, there are no known side effects related to inhalation of CBD or THC. However, it is important to note that this does not necessarily mean that the plant is harmless.
